Damon DiMarco earned his MFA from the Professional Actors Training Program at the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. A member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity, he has acted in daytime and primetime TV, independent films, and regional theater while teaching acting at universities, in private coaching sessions with fellow professionals, and to people from all walks of life whose job performance can profit from acting techniques. Damon's two books on acting, co-written with his mentor, William Esper, the late world-renowned acting teacher, have been endorsed by Pulitzer Prize winners David Mamet and Stephen Adly Guirgis; Academy Award-winning actors Sam Rockwell, Olympia Dukakis, and Mary Steenburgen; Emmy Award-winners Patricia Heaton and Christine Lahti; SAG Award-winners Richard Schiff and Gretchen Mol, plus other great actors like Jeff Goldblum and Amy Schumer. Other books Damon has written won praise from The New York Times, MSNBC, CNN, and NPR/PBS; thought leaders such as William F. Buckley and His Holiness the Dalai Lama; politicians such as Gov. Tom Kean, Chairman of the 9/11 Commission, and George Pataki, formerly governor of The State of New York. Damon has been a guest on CNN, NPR/PBS, Premiere Radio Network, National Geographic Channel, and other media outlets. He founded, created, and led the Writing for Public Intellectuals workshop for PhD students in the History & Culture Program at Drew University’s Caspersen School of Graduate Studies. He is also the founder of CreateX3.com, a consultancy that provides creative assistance to corporations in various sectors, government agencies, think tanks, media companies, and private individuals.
